I have been teaching for 19 years and have taught every grade at the high school level, plus a one-year stint in eighth grade. Aside from regular and honors English classes, I have also taught creative writing and journalism. I have also coached soccer and volleyball. I have a 16-year old daughter, Katelyn, and an eight-year old son, Grayson. In my spare time, I love to spend time with them, coach soccer, support my daughter's sports ventures, cook, and do all types of crafts.

Interests
I began to love reading and writing at an early age, which is the reason I became an English teacher. I have a collection of over 500 books. I also love to write, mostly nonfiction. I have a strong background in journalism, and I became a teacher because of my desire to help others. I believe in creating a better world for my children, and I try to do the same with my students. My goal is to one day publish my great opus.
